The work of the Center for Courageous Wholeness is grounded in some key beliefs.
We believe:
The world around us is a reflection of the world within us.
Brokenness and disconnection in the outer world is a reflection of brokenness and disconnection in our inner worlds.
Outer change and inner change are too interconnected to separate.
We call this the “Dual Journey” of inner and outer change. Our understanding of leadership includes a rigorous focus on both dimensions in an integrated manner.
Cultivating Courageous Wholeness is possible—both in individuals and at scale.
This kind of transformation is achievable…and we know how to do it. We created the Center to provide a platform for bringing this work out into the world.

The consequences
of fragmentation and disconnection are
all aroud us.
Everywhere we look, we see the consequences of living in a world where fragementation and disconnection—rather than wholeness—is the norm.

There is another way.
The Center for Courageous Wholeness uses an approach to leadership develoment that we call the Flame. As the Flame image makes clear, inner change and outer change are interconnected. The journey towards Courageous Wholeness begins by turning inwards and focusing on the innermost “Be” level of the Flame.
We create and hold spaces the guide individuals to:
Clarity and connect with their light
Confront and integrate their shadow
Work skillfully with their wholeness
Look to their own inner compass for guidance
Harness their own inner wisdom to confront complexity and uncertainty
Live and lead with integrity and courage
We help organizations and institutions build a new capacity to guide individuals through this process of inner development powerfully and at scale by:
Revealing and shifting the mindsets that create resistance to efforts to engage in inner development
Sharing our proven, tested approach to inviting even the most skeptical and resistant individuals to engage in meaningful reflection and inner work
Building capacity to skillfully create and hold spaces that make inner development possible
Training staff as facilitators able to skillfully guide peers through this work
Guiding organizations through the change process required to do inner work effectively at scale
